A training to Empower and Digitalize Libya’s Tax System
A training took place in Tunis from the 16th until the 20th of November 2023 and was provided to the IT department team within the Libyan tax authority. Mr. Fayez Kharrat, a Digital Expert from the French General Directorate of Public Finance, supported the Tax Authority team of tech professionals in building their digital skills, particularly in Enterprise Applications/ Java EE, contributing to advancing tax administration processes in Libya. Members of the Ministry of Finance and the Customs Authority also participated in this training to build their technical capabilities.
This training continues the effort started by the PAMRI project to empower Libya’s tax system and digitalize its services. Expertise France is implementing this initiative as part of the E-nable project funded by the European Union to support the digitalization and diversification of the Libyan economy.
