Graduation Ceremony of the “Fundamentals of Economic Modeling and Economic Policy Design” Training

Tripoli, Libya – A group of Libyan professionals from various sectors have successfully completed two specialized training programs on ‘Fundamentals of Economic Modeling and Economic Policy Design.’ The programs, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy and Trade, were funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France as part of the E-nable project.

A graduation ceremony held on Sunday, April 8, 2024, at the Ministry of Economy and Trade honored the trainees and awarded them certificates of completion in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Trade, Mr. Mohamed Alhuwaij, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Investment Promotion and Privatization Authority, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Shawish, the Chairman of the Management Committee of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Mr. Issam Al-Aoul, and the Deputy Director of Expertise France programs in Libya, Mr. Mohamed Al-Aswad, and several directors of departments and offices at the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the Director of the Planning Office at the General Information Authority.

It is worth noting that this intensive program, which lasted for six weeks for each version, succeeded in building distinguished capabilities among the participants in the field of economic modeling. The trainees praised the scientific and practical benefits they gained from the program, which enabled them to contribute effectively to making informed economic decisions supporting sustainable development in Libya.
