Within the framework of the E-NABLE project, which Expertise France implements with funding from the European Union and in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Trade and the National Economic and Social Development Board, a meeting was held on Sunday, 21/7/2024, bringing together the steering committee and the technical team responsible for implementing the “Economic Diversification Policies in Libya” project with a team from Expertise France.
The meeting, chaired by Mr. Mahmoud Al-Fatisi (Director General of the National Economic and Social Development Board), focused on the technical team’s training and support needs. Discussions aimed to identify ways to facilitate their work best and ensure the project achieves its goals.
Mr. Saad Henish (Undersecretary of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Trade) and Mr. Nouri Al-Qattati (Undersecretary of Free Zones Affairs, Ministry of Economy and Trade) were among the attendees, along with representatives from relevant departments within the Ministry and the project’s technical team.
This technical team will analyze and review existing economic diversification plans across various sectors. They will assess their alignment with national priorities and develop draft economic diversification policies that aim to enhance economic competitiveness, streamline public sector operations, and create new job opportunities across all sectors.
