Libyan Commercial Registry Receives Training on Online Business Registration in Geneve
A 4-day training was launched on the 13th of February 2023 in Geneve, bringing together the Commercial Registry Authority and the General Information Authority in Libya with digital transformation experts at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD). This training focuses on using the e-registration tool to obtain a trading name online, which UNCTAD developed based on the needs and requirements of the Libyan partners and the memorandum of understanding concluded last June with the Libyan side in this regard.

During the training, the participants will also learn about the potential use of the tool in other relevant institutions to digitize all commercial procedures in Libya.
Among the attendees were Mr. Mohamed bin Katheer, Head of the Commercial Registry Authority, Mr. Alaa Toum, Director of the General Commercial Registry Office, Mr. Abdul Rahman Huqooq, Director of the Documentation and Information Department of the Commercial Registry Authority, Mr. Ahmed Suleiman, Director of the Local Commercial Registry Office in Tripoli, Mr. Sufyan Al-Shawish, Vice President of the National Authority for Information Security and Safety And the specialized team from the General Information Authority.
This training is part of the E-NABLE project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France for a sustainable, diversified, digital economic recovery in Libya.
