E-nable Hosts a Training Program on Economic Diversification Policies and Development Thinking Skills
Building on the importance of economic diversification in driving the national economy, supporting the private sector, and achieving sustainable development, the training program titled “Economic Diversification Policies and Development Thinking Skills” kicked off on Sunday, March 3, 2024, in Tripoli. The program, which targeted a group of governmental and non-governmental institutions, continued for three consecutive days in cooperation with Wizar Advisory and led by Dr. Taher Abdelsalam, Professor of Economics at the Tunisian University; Dr. Hadi Arabi, Lecturer at Harvard University and former World Bank Director; and Ms. Ons Abdelkarim, Researcher at Harvard University in the Arts of Negotiation and Leadership.
Among the participants on the first day of the program were Mr. Nasr Eddine Fazzani, Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries; Mr. Saad Henish, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Economy and Trade; Mr. Saleh Al-Ghoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Mr. Mustafa Al-Barouni, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance; Mr. Badr Bin Othman, CEO of the Libyan Fund for Development and Internal Investment; Mr. Omar Al-Zaruq, Deputy Director General of the Tax Authority; Mr. Nasr Ishtawi, President of Gharyan University; Mr. Ali Naseer, CEO of the Libyan Industries Union; Mr. Musa Zubik, Director of the Private Sector Development Department at the Ministry of Economy and Trade; Mr. Mohamed Al-Aswad, Deputy Director of Programs at Expertise France; and other directors and officials from relevant institutions and ministries.
This initiative comes as part of the E-nable program, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France to support, diversify and digitalize the Libyan Economy.
